Karl Rove’s campaign playbook never changes. His first rule is to lie about his opponent’s greatest strength:
OBJECTIVE TRUTH: John Kerry was wounded in Vietnam while George W. Bush hid out in Alabama. ROVE’S LIE: John Kerry’s war record is a sham.
OBJECTIVE TRUTH: Barack Obama’s Administration hunted down and killed Osama bin Laden, avenging the victims of 9/11. ROVE’S LIE: Killing bin Laden was no big deal. Besides, it was an easy decision that anybody would have made.
Democrats are slamming Rove for lying about Bill Clinton’s comments on the bin Laden operation, but you need to understand that Rove doesn’t give a fuck. First of all, he’s a sociopath. Second of all, he isn’t running for anything, so his truthfulness can’t be an issue. Third of all, he knows the media won’t seriously challenge his lies. Have you watched Wolf Blitzer lately? Useless, useless.
Karl Rove’s goal is to muddy the waters on bin Laden and cast doubt on Barack Obama’s leadership. He’ll probably have to stop lying about what Clinton said, but there are plenty of other lies he can peddle on the subject.
This is just the beginning, folks. Mitt Romney is a horrible candidate. He’s going to need all the dirty help he can get.
