The Most Transparent Lie Ever Told By Anyone In The Media — Ever!

It’s this one by Bill O’Reilly:

For the second night in a row, Bill O’Reilly denied Sen. Tom Coburn’s (R-OK) accurate statement that Fox has pushed the falsehood that under the health care reform legislation individuals can be sent to jail for not having health insurance.  Earlier in the day, Neil Cavuto contradicted O’Reilly, noting that “a number of Fox personalities had made that comment.”

I’m going out on a limb here: The is the most ridiculously transparent lie that any human being will ever tell until the end of time.  It’s the Platonic form of all lies.

Bill O’Reilly has uttered innumerable untruths, but this thing might be a career killer.  He can’t say he misspoke, because he claims he had research done.  (I guess he could try to throw his staff under the bus, but that’s awfully tricky — not to mention gutless.)

Bill needs to grab his loofah and take a nice, long vacation.  He needs to go away until everything blows over — if it ever does.

UPDATE: Some people are saying that O’Reilly has put out a contract on Neil Cavuto for telling the truth and making him look bad on his own network.  We’ve done some research here at Partisan Dawn and have found little evidence to support such a charge, although we can’t rule it out.  Maybe it’s true.  You decide.

  1. Nothing will come out of this. There are lies in the media all the time. For example the other day Gingrich said if there was a biological attack that killed a million americans, the president would not respond. Then Hannity said that is what Obama said and Gingrich agreed. Any 3rd grader who looked into the story could tell that is a lie but I have not heard either of them correct themselves. At this point I am not surprised what any politician or media person says. I just try to laugh it all off and shake my head.

    • You’re probably right that O’Reilly will skate on this. He always does. But he can’t possibly have any respect for himself. His inner life must be a living hell. At least I hope so.
