Rocks Off!

This blog is entirely political and will remain so.  I refuse to pollute my little corner of cyberspace with a bunch of inane posts about what I had for dinner, or why my life sucks (not that it does — I’m just saying).

Just this once, however, I’d like to call your attention to a distinctly non-political event of great cultural significance: The Rolling Stones have released a remastered version — including ten new tracks — of Exile on Main St.  And it’s still insanely good.

Now, I don’t want to hear any nonsense about Aftermath, or Let It Bleed, or even Sticky Fingers.  Great as those albums are, they pale in comparison to Exile, which is — quite simply — the greatest and deepest rock and roll album ever recorded.

Stones disciples such as myself will hear things on the remastered discs that will keep us coming back to Exile for another thirty years.  The rest of y’all need to get up to speed.

So run — don’t walk — to your nearest record emporium and buy this album.  You can thank me later.
