The Republican Agenda Revealed

The right-wing editors at National Review Online, unwittingly, tell us what’s going to happen when the GOP gets back in the saddle:

If Republicans plan on having a majority in either house after November, they had better have some idea in advance of how they will conduct themselves in power.  If they have an agenda that has won at least loose assent from voters, they’ll be better-off than if they were trying to come up with something on the fly in the flush of victory, when giddiness will rule and special interests will all want a piece of the pie.  [Emphasis added]

Bingo!  You nailed it, guys.  Yeah, I know you were all embarrassed by the Cornyn-Sessions debacle on Meet The Press.  You want the Republican High Command to put on their thinking caps and come up with lots of spiffy “conservative” ideas.  Well, they’re not gonna do it.  Wouldn’t be prudent.  Besides, it’s completely unnecessary.  We’ve seen this movie before.  The Tom DeLay-Jack Abramoff special interest gravy train will be put back on the tracks.  Just add money and. . .

Instant agenda!
