Freedom To Stomp!

"The Persuader": Official Footwear Of Tea Party Republicans

When one of Rand Paul’s roving bodyguards allowed the skull of a MoveOn member to slam into his foot, he was merely fulfilling every man’s duty to protect his Führer:

Tim Profitt, the Rand Paul supporter behind the white sneaker that notoriously stomped on a MoveOn activist’s head in Kentucky, sought to play down the importance of the incident Tuesday, and went so far as to ask the victim for an apology.

“I don’t think it’s that big of a deal,” Profitt told WKYT.  “I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you.”

Besides:

“I put my foot on her, and I did push her down at the very end, and I told her to stay down.  I actually put my foot on her to — I couldn’t bend over because I have issues with my back,” Profitt said.

Isn’t Tim Profitt the hero of this incident?  If he hadn’t subdued this mouthy chick with his sneaker, his teabagger associates with healthy backs might have really smacked her around!

Also, in an interview you can watch here, Tim says the whole thing is the fault of the police because they didn’t stomp her first.  Hard to argue with that logic.

LATE UPDATE: GOONS OF A FEATHER?

Time to get lawyered up

“At this point, the investigation is still ongoing,” [Lexington police] public information officer Sherelle Roberts told ABC News.  “We’re looking into other individuals who may have been involved in the assault and could get charged.”

A quick review of the video shows that multiple men dragged the victim — Lauren Valle — to the ground and one, ironically clad in a “don’t tread on me” button, held her there while Profitt emphatically pressed her head into the ground with his foot.

We’re about to find out if Kentucky teabaggers are stand-up guys or RATS.

  1. I posted this video and its attendant story on my employer’s FB page (I work for a news organization) and our teabagger “fans” went nuts. They kept saying how clearly this shows how biased my organization is blah, blah, blah. The persecution complex these fucking idiots have is unreal.
