The Monster From Oklahoma

On fiscal issues Senator Tom Coburn — like all Republicans — is either an idiot or a charlatan.  He votes for every budget-busting tax giveaway that comes down the pike, as if he thinks rich people’s money somehow isn’t even real.  When Coburn gets up on his hind legs and wails about “wasteful spending”, only masochists and Fox News viewers should pay any attention.

Tom Coburn is also a member of what might be called the “Asshole Brigade” of the Wingnut Army.  To their breathtaking hypocrisy on budgetary matters, these vile specimens of homo erectus modernum add an element of cruelty designed both to reinforce their wholly fraudulent bona fides asprincipled” conservatives and to put the citizenry on notice that the United States government exists solely to serve the rich and the powerful.  This is what Coburn is doing with his threats to hold up the 9/11 first responders health care bill.

Tom Coburn is nothing but a cheap grandstander, and a revolting one at that.  If there’s any justice in this world, he’ll someday pay a political price for his wicked egomania.

  1. Wow, I have not heard someone whine this much since my child was 2. I can’t wait to hear how you react to fiscally responsible legislation as it starts to come down the halls of congress in January,

I really do like seeing how you twist the facts away from reality in order to appeal to emotions. It would be easier to live in a world where you can ignore reality in order to do what ever feels good. I envy you progressives. The rest of us will deal with reality and try to defend your right to whine as much as you do.

Happy New Year and God bless the USA!!

    • Tom Coburn has stated that revenue lost due to tax cuts does increase the deficit. This is idiotic. Coburn should be shunned, or at least made to wear a dunce cap.

Just because a political party wins an election does not mean it can repeal arithmetic.
