“Steve Harrigan And The Human Shields” (A Fox News Song Parody)

Fox News Channel correspondent Jennifer Griffin reported on the air that Libyan officials used journalists — specifically CNN and Reuters staffers — as “human shields” to prevent further attacks on Muammar Qaddafi’s compound.  She also told viewers that Fox didn’t go on the Libyan government-sponsored trip to film the compound after an earlier attack because it was “propaganda.”  That turned out to be untrue, as Griffin later admitted on the air on Monday night.  Fox did send a “security guard” with a camera to film the scene. . . . “Steve Harrigan, the [Fox] correspondent here, is somebody I have known for many years,” Nic Robertson of CNN said. “I see him more times at breakfast than I see him out on trips with government officials here.”The Salt Lake Tribune

Who is the man never missed an egg or sausage link?
Harrigan! That’s me!
Who is the guy never has to work or write or think?
Harrigan! That’s me!

The suits in Manhattan say I’m the bomb —
Cooler than Rather in Vietnam.

Who is the dude always in a happy, swingin’ mood?
Harrigan! That’s me!

H – A — double R – I – G – A – N spells Harrigan.
Sorry that the cameraman got blowed up;
Might ’a mussed my hair if I’d ’a showed up.

H – A – double R – I – G – A – N, you see,
Is a name with no shame and no journalist’s integrity —
Harrigan! That’s me!

(Sung to the tune of “Harrigan” by George M. Cohan)
