The Tea Party Jumps The Shark

Here’s something I think we can all agree on: political indoctrination camps for eight-year olds are a bad idea:

Tampa Liberty is modeled after vacation Bible schools, which use fun, hands-on activities to deliver Christian messages.

One example at Liberty: Children will win hard, wrapped candies to use as currency for a store, symbolizing the gold standard. On the second day, the “banker” will issue paper money instead. Over time, students will realize their paper money buys less and less, while the candies retain their value. . . .

Another example: Children will blow bubbles from a single container of soapy solution, and then pop each other’s bubbles with squirt guns in an arrangement that mimics socialism. They are to count how many bubbles they pop. Then they will work with individual bottles of solution and pop their own bubbles.

“What they will find out is that you can do a lot more with individual freedom,” Lukens said.

  1. Tampa is too far for me, wish they would do this in Orlando.. my kids would love it. Thanx for posting Rick.

  2. Almost like being in Germany when the Nazis was running the show. Complete brain washing.

  3. Its called EDUCATION, I know you haven’t had that is MA for awhile, but the rest of the country has been doing for awhile.

    • Since you don’t do your home work, MA leads the nation in education, while your corrupt governor is taking a chain saw to everything he can get his hands on.

    • Don, I lived in MA and lowering the bar till your kids jump over it does not mean they are learning.

Love your rabbit trail about Scott, shows more of your lack of education, keep it up.
