Newtonomics

Newt Gingrich needs to soften his image if he wants to be President. So now he’s come out in favor of . . . kiddie janitors:

During a Harvard address on Friday, Gingrich blamed child labor restrictions for doing “more to create income inequality in the United States than any other single policy.”

“It is tragic what we do in the poorest neighborhoods, entrapping children in . . . child laws, which are truly stupid,” said Gingrich.

“Most of these schools ought to get rid of the unionized janitors, have one master janitor and pay local students to take care of the school,” he added. “The kids would actually do work, they would have cash, they would have pride in the schools, they’d begin the process of rising.”

Sorry, pal — You’re fired. Hand that mop to your son and get your sorry ass down to the unemployment office.

Unbelievable.
